“Yin and Yang are wonderful concepts, the balance and harmony of life”
~ Chris Mimnagh ~
Come and join us for ‘Finding Harmony with Yin and Yang’ yoga practice at the Grand Hyatt in Nusa Dua, Bali on Saturday November 27, 2021.
A place where you will experience serenity and tranquility, in a tropical paradise overlooking the big blue ocean, a true heaven of peace and freedom to relax your body, mind and soul.
On this lovely day – Grand Hyatt Nusa Dua and The Yoga Rescue – want to create an equal balance of Yin and Yang energies to achieve harmony within ourselves.
Yin and Yang are two qualities that are present in everything according to their Taoist origin.
Yin is more internal, passive, cooling and downward. Yang is more external, dynamic, warming and upward.
In Yoga these 2 elements are ever so present.
Most people tend to practice only the Yang side with Vinyasa or Hatha classes. Staying balanced however is important and both Yin AND Yang elements should be practised. Yin Yoga or Restorative Yoga classes are good examples for the Yin element practise.
We are going to let you experience the benefits and effects of a well balanced practise. In the morning, we will guide you through 2 classes, one will focus on the Yang and one on the Yin.
The Yang Yoga practice is more active and affects the (Yang) muscles and blood flow, it will help to build strength, stamina and increase your flexibility.
Within the yoga practice, Yin Yoga is slower, and poses are passively held for longer. The areas that are targeted are the deep, dense (Yin) connective tissues and joints in the body.
The power of Yin and Yang lies in the combination of these 2 practices; Either alternating the classes in your practise or in a combined Yin/Yang class.
In the first session we will focus on the Yang elements while the second session addresses the Yin elements.
The benefit of this order? At the end of the morning, you will feel calm and grounded, ready to enjoy a relaxing afternoon at the pool of the Grand Hyatt Bali.
We will gather in the Lobby area of the Grand Hyatt Bali in Nusa Dua. Please bring your ticket to show the staff.
We start with Meditation and dynamic magical movements guided by Luci Soemitra, to explore our Yang energy.
After the first session we will take a short break of 30 minutes.
We continue with Lisa Fiona, who will guide you in Meditation and slow gentle Yin poses to experience stillness and the ability to surrender.
After the classes, enjoy a well deserved rest with the included Pool Access and spend the rest of the day in this tropical paradise. The Grand Hyatt Bali offers no less than 5 swimming pools, including a 120m lagoon pool, an outdoor river pool with a 50m waterslide and a Balinese feature pool.
