This introduction to Acupressure course spans 2 main objectives:

– HOW TO USE “BALLS” TO STIMULATE POINTS AS A SELF HEALING TOOL.

– HOW TO ADD ACUPRESSURE TO YOUR EXERCISE ROUTINE.

This course is designed for anybody who is interested in self-healing techniques. Health professionals, yoga practitioners and teachers. Suitable for all physical conditions.

    • What is acupressure and How does It work.
    • Precautions and contraindications of acupressure.
    • How to locate and stimulate acupressure points in yourself and in the others.
    • How to use balls and thumb to stimulate points.
    • Main symptomatic points for headaches, constipation, gynecological conditions, emotional blockages, back pain, digestive problems, to balance your breath…
    • How to use acupressure points during your exercise or yoga routine.

Who will be teaching? Bruna Pons

Bruna was born and raised in Barcelona. However, she connected to Asia from a young age. During the last decade she studied in China and India. Her interest in human nature, health and well-being inspired her to study nutrition, traditional Chinese medicine (TCM), acupuncture and yoga. Bruna integrates yoga and TCM into her classes in a simple way allowing students to enjoy, understand and experience “re-balancing” benefits. Bruna brings a therapeutic, accessible and light approach to yoga. She shares different techniques to help students restore harmony and well-being. Bruna’s classes are based on meridian hatha yoga, yin yoga and acupressure release. Through slow mindful movements and breath students relax and nourish the entire body bringing understanding and freedom within. It is Bruna’s intention to share balanced body movements, practical tools and knowledge to enable students to listen and fulfill their unique needs.

What do you need for this course?

    • A Yoga mat or carpet, comfortable clothes
    • a tennis-, golf MFR ball or in-shell walnut.
    • Internet and the Zoom platform.

Course structure

The course is composed of 3 modules of 3 hour via the ZOOM platform. 1.5 hour will be theoretical and 1.5 hour will be body movement / yoga.

MODULE I – Intro to Acupressure. Contraindications, stimulation, precautions. 5 most popular acupressure points, how to locate them and indications. Movement class- yoga with acupressure points.

MODULE II Back shu points. Points along the spine to stimulate all the internal organs. Movement class-yoga , using balls to stimulate acupoints

MODULE III Acupressure points to balance frustration, constipation, menstruation pain, infertility, back pain, digestive problems, to balance breath… Movement class- yoga, with acupressure points to increase free flow of energy through the body.
